Free players which will play MPEG-4 videos:
Quicktime 6 player (my choice)
Stand alone player or plug-in available for PC and Mac which will play MPEG-4 files and many other formats.
EnvivioTV plug-in
EnvivioTV is available as a plug-in for Apple QuickTime 4.1.2 or higher, RealPlayer 7 or higher and Windows Media Player 6.4 or higher. You likely have one of these installed. All you need is this plug-in.
DivX player
Player available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
